For this photoshoot I decided to experiment with doing double exposure within a analogue camera.

Analogue Photoshoot

Artist Research

As an experiment for my course I decided I wanted to move into doing some analogue photography and therefore I thought the best way to do some analogue and still involve some of the surrealistic aspects I'm aiming to include in all my pieces then why not do some double exposure.

For this experiment I did some double exposed film and as you can see from the image to the left whether it is black or white or colour the effects of double exposed film look brilliant.

In this image you can see that the colour saturation and colour palette within the images are forced to be less saturated due to the double overlaying images.

In this image to the left you can also see the colour pallete is that of a bright one where by all the colours on the wheel have been used, although due to the overlaying of the two images on the film, the colours in some parts of the image have become desaturated.

As for this image, the central focus is another larger part of it's photographic elements. The central focus of this image is of course the yound woman and the telegraph poles. The objects which appears most prominently and is clearly focused in the photograph is the one which is the main focus, and from this it'd obvious that it's the woman more so than the telegraph pole.

Film Photoshoot

Below are the final pieces after editing processes on Photoshop, these were created out of double exposured film.

Film Photoshoot Negatives

Below you can see the negatives which come from my analogue photography shoot. To do these properly the single strip of film was run through the camera twice on the same day. This gave a messy double exposure effect on the film, but it also worked really well. These images were developed and then scanned into the computer before put into photoshop to be edited.
