How I Emulated These Photos

  • To create these photos I firstly started by going out to the woods in Prees Heath Common Reserve. Taking my model, camera, tripod and picture frame i began by finding a suitable place for the first base image to be taken.

  • After I'd found a suitable place to shoot the first image I set up the tripod on an appropriate level, checking the original photo for reference so that my emulation was as close as possible to the original image.

  • Once the tripod was set up properly with the camera also set up on it, I took the first photo.

  • Once the first photo was taken I got my model to move into position, remove his shirt, and slide through the picture frame which I had previously pushed into the ground. Moving back I took another photo of my model in the current position.

  • Once this second base photo had been taken, I  got my model to move into the second position. This time, by using the original photo as reference I got my model to move into a laying down position though the picture frame again, this being once i'd moved the frame for a second time into a different position. Taking the third photo, I was able to capture my models lower body.

  • After I'd completed the photo stage of  my emulation I put the images into Photoshop.

  • After the pictures had been put into photoshop i started to overplay, and place the photos over the top of each other. Firstly putting the picture i'd taken of just the background first, and then the secondary and tertiary photos I had taken over the top of the base photo.

  • After doing this I started to rub out parts of the two layered images, eventually I got to the stage where it looked like only one image. This is shown in the image to the left.

  • Once i'd completed this i added a gaussian blur to the background and slight foreground of the image and then changed the saturation so that it looked warmer, this was an attempt to match the original image.
