ELLA RUTH

Her images being created rather than captured. She spends much of her time stiching the result of lots of smaller images together to create one big final shot. Almost all of her pictures feature flowers or nature in some way, shape or form. Most of her images following a Pre-Raphaelite vibe about it with colour playing a huge part of her creative process.

As a portrait photographer Ruth photographs faces almost daily. Over many moons in this field She's developed a pattern.

One thing we can see with Ruths photographs is that she like to focus on a more natural look with her models, and prefurs to use naural looking make-up or no make-up at all when shooting.

Another thing which is evident in Ruth photography is extensive use of warm colours. We already know that she enjoys making her photographs colorful and with a natural feeling but she also likes to use a variation of warm and cold tones within each image. Though most either stick to being either cold, or either warm, you can see at with the image on the right that she has used a mixture of the two. In the image to the right, the background focuses more on featuring a warmer pallet of colour towards the outside and then a colder pallet of colour towards the inside, due to the fact we can see from orange, yellow to a green hue.

Ella Ruth, a 23 year old photographer. Mainly calling Shrewsbury and Leicester  her home, has been driving by her nature to create colourful images out in open air. Favouring shoots with free-spirited people who don't mind climbing trees and exploring hills, forests and gardens. Her shoots are pretty much always outdoors, and are almost always captured with natural light. Drawn to detailed flora, dramatic landscapes and natural colours, she sometimes shoots with big teams of talented hair and make up artists, stylists, models and assistants. Other times it is kept simple, just her and a subject.
